SUPER MONKEY BALL 2

Super Monkey ball was validated as an exercise in Top Gun Surgeon in 2007. (Sega of America Inc, © 2001, 2002, San Francisco, CA and Nintendo GameCube Nintendo Co. Ltd., Tokyo, Japan). This game requires the user to pilot a spherical ball around a dynamic undulating course while targeting specific items. Performance was evaluated by total time needed to complete the course minus designated errors.

INTRACORPOREAL SUTURING

The Rosser technique of intracorporeal laparoscopic suturing can be divided into three phases: The needle acquisition phase, the tissue penetration phase, and the knot-tying phase. The standard suture is a 4” 2-0 silk on an SH needle. Phase one is the needle acquisition phase, which begins with proper configuration of the needle outside of the abdomen. Phase two is the tissue penetration phase, which begins with the non–dominant hand instrument supporting the tissue at the suture site with the creation of an elevated portion of tissue called the “camel’s hump.” Phase three is the knotting phase and it begins with extraction of the length of suture to a point where a “short tail” measuring 1 to 2 cm remains at the operative site.
